Wow, this had... been very promptly abandoned, huh? Yeah, sorry life had happened. I got a job sometime after the last blog post. And I have zero memory of why I stopped but yeah I just ended up losing the drive to continue. But eh, I guess I just got randmoly reminded of this and decided to continue.
Of course continue how? Well for now every Tuesday is recommendations day. What I think are gonna be the most interesting set of books coming out that week. One DC, one Marvel, one Image, and one IDW with a bonus publisher of random choice. For those who saw or will see the older posts, you'll notice that it used to be Valiant and Dark Horse I would recommend and IDW was never mentioned.
Yeah... I stopped following Dark Horse. I stopped reading in general back in 2020 and I am actually still working on the back log. And Valiant... has not been in a good place lately. They are attempting to bounce back under Alien Books. And then both are trying to bounce back under IDW. But, I am still treating Alien Books and Valiant as separate from each other and IDW. Either way, Valiant isn't publishing a book every week so it would lose a spot anyway.
Then on Thursday, I will be reviewing a comic from Marvel, DC, Image, and IDW plus a bomus publisher. Not necessarily the same books I recommended, I am gonna be doing random reviews to ensure I am not just gushing about things I like every week. Which also means I am gonna spend money on things I don't enjoy...
Every other day is up in the air. Wednesday is gonna be a definite break day no matter what, I usually work that day and I also need to spend that day reading comics and writing my reviews in advance. I do still want to do my Ultimate Marvel and DC New 52 trade reviews. Probably gonna be Friday and Saturday, but when those return depends on when I get the TPBs and then write the reviews for. These will be written in advance of course.
And 2099 week? I liked that, I liked writing the summaries and then the reviews. I will return to doing that, one review of one issue per day on some week of every month. Last time it was the second week of every month, but maybe I will do first week of every month instead? Up in the air right now. Probably won't be this month but I will try to get started as soon as I can.
So to confirm everything. Tuesdays will be recommending comics. Thursday is gonna be posting reviews for a new comic released that day. Once I get everything settled and ready, I will be posting another blog detailing the new schedule. I will either see you all tomorrow or next week depending on how things go.
